His most recent publications include the monographs Gothic Antiquity: History, Romance, and the Architectural Imagination, 1760\u20131840 (OUP, 2019) and Matthew Gregory Lewis: The Gothic and Romantic Literary Culture (UWP, 2023), as well as the three-volume The Cambridge History of the Gothic, co-edited with Angela Wright and Catherine Spooner (CUP, 2020\u201321). He is currently completing a monograph on the cultural history of the haunted monastery and editing, with Elizabeth Bobbitt, the posthumous works of Ann Radcliffe, both for Cambridge University Press.<\/div>\n
